Company
In 1917 Luigi Giovanelli began his business in Legnano near Milan for
the construction of small machine tools and between 1920 and 1925 he
entered the sector of weaving preparation machines with the construction
of the first fraction warping machines and of the first défiler creels,
innovations for the italian weaving factories, which at that time were not
allowed to import machinery from abroad because of the autakic policy. |
|
Then Giovanelli began to build winding machines with grooved cylinders, called Vittoria,
for the production of cone bobbins with cotton, wool and blended yarn.
In 1938 the first Section Warping Machines were built; they were suitable for installation
in the small weaving rooms and allowed the production of optimal beams.

In 1959 Valentino Giovanelli, Luigi's son, took over the activity of the firm and the programme
for the production prospered, by the construction of magazines for beams.
In 1965 the company started to build a new Section Warping Machine, Mod. TM 65 and in 1970
came the turning point with the introduction of the VGL3/4.
In 1982 Luigi Giovanelli, Valentino's son, who rapresents the third generation of the family,
started working in the firm and in 1988 a Numerical Control was introduced in machines,
producing the section Warping Machine Mod. VGL3 and VGL4CN.
The further development of these machines created the current section Warping Machines "Leadertronic" Mod. VGL3CN, VGL4CN and VGLFA88.

Thanks to the costant capability of meeting custom's reqirements, the
firm Giovanelli has developed the products range with other machines,
dividing the production in two direction:
Warping Plants and Equipment for Storage and Handling
